New York City is a popular destination for gay tourists from around the world. It is the largest of all the cities in the US and justifiably has a culture and atmosphere that cannot be compared. The gay scene has a history going back as far as the end of the nineteenth century. Today gay travel to New York is based in Manhattan, though there are other areas that are becoming more popular every year. It is often said that Manhattan has the best nightlife, restaurants, theatres, and shopping.

New York City is a great destination to visit at any time of year, but it sees the largest number of tourists during the hot summer months when millions of gay vacation fans descend. If you want to explore the city when the crowds are less, then fall can be a great time to come. The winter season holds a charm all of its own, even though it can get very cold and even snow. Many memories have been made through sitting in a warm restaurant or bar when it is freezing outside. Of course Christmas is also a perfect time to get a feel for the city.

The gay and lesbian festivals and events can be found throughout the year. New Year’s celebrations are unmatched anywhere. During spring there are the NewFest and Tribecca film festivals that attract many gay visitors. New York City’s main Gay Pride event occurs in late June with smaller versions held earlier in the month in Queens and Brooklyn. Halloween is also a popular time to camp it up.

As with any place it pays to have a little understanding of the layout before arriving. New York City is composed of 5 boroughs. Manhattan is an island wedged in-between the Hudson River and the East River. Not far away from here are the districts of Brooklyn and Queens on the western edge of Long Island.

There is an excellent mass transit system that is affordable and easy to navigate. There isn’t really any need to bring your own transport, and besides, the traffic can be uncomfortably heavy to drive through and the parking costs are expensive.

There are many rail services as well as buses that can bring you here from all the major East Coast cities. If you choose to fly in, then you will land at one of three airports – JFK, Newark, and La Guardia, of which La Guardia is perhaps the most convenient as it is the nearest to Manhattan.

One of the fun things families can do is to go camping together. One way they can do that is to go camping with an RV. You need to have plan before you head out and go out to your best outdoor activities. So in this article we are going to go over some things you have to plan for for your RV trip.

Of course, the first thing you should do is to plan on your destination. Of course where you decide to go camping will be based on what everyone wants to do. So the first thing you should consider is what kind of activities you want to do. In other words do you want to go do things in the water like fishing or swimming. You have to look a place with available water. Once you decide what you want to do that will help making a choice of where to go much easier.

The next thing you need to do is make sure you have all the supplies you will need for the trip. It’s nice to make and check all the list of the things that you’ll need altogether. It helps you not to forget important things like toothpaste or soap. You will get an idea of the things you will need for your other camping needs and food.

Lastly, make a reservation on the place you want to go to. It is not easy as setting up a tent when you are camping with an RV. RV is very big, so make sure that the place have enough space for you to park it.

It is sure to have a best camping trip with the family if you do those things. And if you want more info on where to get an RV here is some information.

So have fun on your camping trip and make use of an RV at San Diego RV rentals. We also have RVs for the Carlsbad area with our Carlsbad RV rentals. And finally if you are in the Campland area see us at Campland on the Bay RV rentals.

Considering your next holiday, and could it be the Caribbean that you are dwelling over? Well how about I am just as helpful as those others that offer places you should visit, I will tell you where not to go, it is just as important!

Trinidad is somewhere I would seriously recommend steering clear of. Take control of the ship that is heading there and turn around! Trinidad is responsible for so many deaths in the Caribbean, it is incomparable to any other island. Some of the people care nothing about you, all they want and need is your money and goods.

Haiti is another place similar to Trinidad. Just like Trinidad Haiti is quite dangerous as well, some people in this country consider stealing as entrepreneurial, not a country that you want to take a lot of money too!

Try your best to avoid Puerto Rico, now I am not suggesting that there is something wrong here, its just not the best of all the Caribbean Islands, you could find yourself very disappointed with the holiday that you have received!

Bermuda, but only if you are superstitious. Otherwise Bermuda can be very nice is some places. Bermuda is actually made of many islands, just make sure that you go to mainland Bermuda otherwise you could have a very lonely and boring holiday!

If you only have a small amount of cash to add to your holiday, then definitely scrub Jamaica off the list, it is almost as dangerous as Trinidad. Unless you can get to a private hotel and beach, then I would travel to a different island insead.

There are so many fantastic islands to be recommended, St lucia holidays are relaxing and luxurious, not to mention modest in price, Barbados holidays are another one but for the younger generation, and finally you can try out Cuba holidays, which have improved greatly.

Thinking of taking a sunshine break on the popular holiday island of Lanzarote this year? You certainly won’t be alone if so, as during the course of 2009 close to 1.4 million tourists visited this unique little Canary Island. Located just off the coast of West Africa. With many planning their trip around specific events and festivals that take place on Lanzarote every year.

The island expects to welcome around 750,000 tourists from the UK during the course of 2010. And many of these visitors will be booking their own self catering accommodation – such as villas in Lanzarote – direct online. Often booking specific dates to coincide with their favourite island fiesta or festival.

For holiday makers the islands many holiday villas in Lanzarote available at sensible prices during the summer or winter months.

Carnaval kicks off in February and is arguably the most colourful celebration of the year. This fiesta has its roots in Roman history – as well as the traditions of Lent. And has long been seen as an excuse for letting your hair down before the upcoming period of abstinence. The event is staggered so it takes place at different times in different parts of the island. With the most riotous celebrations reserved for the capital city of Arrecife and the largest resort of Puerto del Carmen.

Iron Man hits the island in late May. This event is widely regarded as one of the toughest triathlons the world. As over 1000 super fit contestants battle it out over a course comprising a 3km swim, followed by a 180km bike ride – all topped off with a full marathon. The top 60 entrants win a slice of the prize money and a coveted slot in the Grand Final in Hawaii. Although plenty of entrants never even make it to the finishing line such is the gruelling nature of this competition.

Lanzarote is also a great destination for music lovers too as there are concerts and festivals taking place throughout the year. Among the best is Jazz Canarias which visits the island every July. And which showcases some of the best young talent from the world of jazz. In previous years featuring free live performances from the likes of the guitarist Kyle Eastwood –offspring of the famous actor Clint Eastwood. All of which takes place in the atmospheric setting of the historic former island capital of Teguise.

September is also a great time for booking holiday apartments in Lanzarote. As the Costa Music Festival takes place that month. Bringing an eclectic mix of live dance acts and top DJ talent to the beach at Playa Bastian in Costa Teguise. And like so many other events on the island this is also entirely free of charge – attracting crowds in their thousands.

t.ogrady12 asked:

I am only 16, so it will be some years yet, but I want to have a gap year after sixth form (from the ages of 18-19) where I work for sixth months and travel for sixth months. The continents I want to go to are Asia, Africa and South America, as the title says. I have a brief idea of the countries I want to visit, but does anyone have any recommendations?

I may feel like going to Australasia as well, if I have enough time, but the three continents above are my first choice. I will travel throughout my life, so there will be time for other countries and things.

The main things I am interested in are culture and ancient history, so I don’t want to go to places like the USA.

The countries I have in mind at the moment are China/Japan, India, Russia, South Africa, Egypt, somewhere in the Sahara, Brazil, Argentina and Mexico. I would also like to follow the Inca Trail and other such things.

So yeah, any reccomendations? Thanks.

Vacations in the UK seem to be incredibly popular this year, most likely due to the the current economy and the low value of the pound. England has many top tourist destinations including London (the English capital) and other fascinating cities plus a collection of seaside resorts such as; Blackpool, Eastbourne, Bognor Regis and Clacton-on-Sea. One seaside town often overlooked is Plymouth in the south of England.

At first glance Plymouth appears rather plain and principally modern, but searching a little bit deeper and you will very quickly discover that the city has a rich history and a deep association with the sea. As far back as the fifteen hundreds Plymouth has been an important port. In fifteen eighty eight Francis Drake set sail from the port to successfully defend the English by defeating the Spanish Armada. A further moment in history occurred in sixteen twenty when port witnessed the embarkation of the Pilgrim Fathers.

It is possible to take cheap Plymouth vacations by booking bed and breakfast in Plymouth rather than booking rooms in a expensive hotel. A quick search on Yahoo will show that rooms are available from as little as £29 a night and many guest houses offer dinners at a very reasonable rate, commonly equal to, or less costly than local restaurants.

Tourist Attractions In Plymouth

There are numerous places to visit in Plymouth. Popular tourist attractions include; Smeaton’s Tower and Plymouth Dome, the Royal Citadel, the National Marine Aquarium and Merchant’s House Museum. A boat cruise around the port is an interesting way to spend some time and if you discover that you have more time to spare why not take a trip to other places near to Plymouth, for example; Mount Edgcumbe, Buckland Abbey or Saltram House.

Saltram House is a fine Tudor Mansion which is situated two miles from the town of Plymouth, Mount Edgcumbe is another fine example of a Tudor house with landscaped gardens, coastal paths and parklands, and Buckland Abbey, about six miles from Plymouth, is a Cistercian abbey which was once owned by Sir Francis Drake and was later converted into a family home.

If you and your family are currently deciding upon spending some time in the city of Plymouth it is vital that you book your room at the earliest moment because, sadly Plymouth guest houses and hotels tend to be surprisingly busy and are commonly fully booked for a long period in advance. If your family is large you may find that apartments in Plymouth prove to be cheap option to bed and breakfast in Plymouth. If you are visiting the UK from abroad then you should consider making a reservation for a room in hotels in London to take in the attractions of the capital city of England too.

Puerto Vallarta sits on the Pacific Coast along the shore of the “Bahia de Banderas”, there are many beautiful beaches close to the city. There are over a dozen large beaches in the area. As the second most popular vacation destination in Mexico, Puerto Vallarta is the place to go. After the beaches, there are many other attractions to draw visitors and keep them entertained. Many people choose to consult a beach directory as it meets their vacation needs better.

Puerto Vallarta is a gorgeous city with a colonial village feel. To truly experience the beauty of the area, plan a day where you can explore. venture through the streets, note the provincial style buildings and homes that surround you. If so inclined, stroll into a few of the small shops that sell crafts from local artisans. You can find great deals on pottery, silver, and fabrics, so be sure to keep your eyes open for that great souvenir. One location that is a must see is the Church of Guadalupe. It is hard to miss with its obvious red brick bell tower that has a crown on top, but if you would like to go inside, make sure you are dressed appropriately since there are specified guidelines.

Puerto Vallarta has many amazing places to eat. The restaurants range from inexpensive for the more conservative traveler to expensive and gourmet. If you can’t decide what to eat, stick to seafood dishes like lobster and shrimp.

If you want to get out and experience the nightlife, Puerto Vallarta is sure to have something that will suit your tastes. There are live Mariachi bands, blues bands, clubs for salsa dancing, sports bars, and many more. Bars, nightclubs, and discos cater to a variety of tastes, so no matter what you are looking for. In Puerto Vallarta, the clubs open later usually after 10, and stay open until early morning, maybe until 4am. This means a well planned nights schedule is in order to experience the Mexican nightlife.

Since one of the biggest attraction of Cozumel Vacation Packages is its beautiful beaches, you’ll want to stay as close as possible. Be sure to look into Puerto Vallarta Mexico vacations that provides all the amenities of home and allows you easy access to the beach throughout your entire vacation.
