miss_fairy061189 asked: I’m planning to study a science subject but I don’t know whether to take a gap year before I go or just head straight off to university. What are the pros and cons of gap years? Everyone says the choice is up to me and doesn’t really offer much useful advice.

Cherelle A asked: I am on a gap year at the moment and i am looking to do a couple of short courses with the OU because im missing being in education. I was just wondering whether it could in any way effect my student loan when I apply in the coming weeks.
The courses are just six to eight weeks in length and I am planning on paying for them myself with money I have saved.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank You.

I am also very interested in art, so
i was wondering, that instead of travelling, should i spend my gap year on an art foundation course instead?

I’d also like to maybe travel around and see places. But im not sure what to do in relation to the applications. If i say to the Universities i want a GAP year, will my place still be available to me in a years time?
Any help would be great!
