When is the best time to visit London?

La Tica asked:

I’m looking to visit for 10 days, and I want to go when the weather is perfect!

Also, let me know what you think of London. Is it worth the money??

Late May to Late September is the best time to visit. Whether its worth the money or not very much depends on your interests. London’s parks, museums, art galleries and top restaurants are superb. I would strongly suggest you see other parts of England too; our countryside is very beautiful

The best time to visit London is June – be here for the Queen’s Birthday Parade, which in 2010 will take place on Saturday 12 June 2010.

    What will you see?

Trooping the Colour – Queen’s Birthday Parade 2009

It’s early days yet, but keep a link to this next website where you will be told how and when you can obtain/purchase tickets for HM Queen’s Birthday Parade 2010.

If you are unable to get tickets for the event, don’t worry, because you can see the march on and the march off parade for free by simply standing anywhere in the Mall – that’s the road which leads from Buckingham Palace to Horseguards.

Tafalgar Square – live streaming webcam

When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life.
    Samuel Johnson, a Londoner.

London Links – shopping, guids, views etc.

HM Queen Elizabeth II – Grand Admiral of the Fleet

    Either
Christmas – it’s gonna freeze you

    or

Summer – it’s average summer, yeah.

ah, opinions of london. lol. I’ve lived here all my life, and thats a while!
its definitley worth it! – I’m still finding new things to do, new places to go, and I’ve been going round the place for almost 7 or 8 years now (since i’ve been allowed to go out, yeah) since the age of like 11. or something. =D
um, i think you should definitley come here at least once in your life, might be a bit of the small side, compared to the rest of the world, but it’s completely easy to fall head over heels in love with it. =D
definitley try it, you’ll love it here if you love being a tourist, love shopping, don’t mind the cold.
btw, 10 days, it could be enough if you do wanna skim places. yeah? you cannot visit the whole city in twn days, i’ve figured that out. you need at least two weeks to cover the city and outskirts that have attractions.
i planned a visit for my friend, she was going to stay for a week and then go back home to NYC, and she had a return flight back after seven days, turns out she wanteed to see the whole place, she totally had not enough time whatsoever, so we cancalled the return, she stayed another weeksih, casue she had free time on her hands. she decided to go up and visit scotland for a bit, cause of fam. and then she came back to london for thre days and flew back after 3 weeks in the UK instead of 1. lol

If you have to time, extend your visit, if not, then only do proper london, dont bother with windsor and stuff ;)
