i thought it’s in the middle east … probably cost a lot
i suspect you would have to fly to london or paris first then get a flight from there to amman (ontario – london say 9 hours, london to amman maybe 5).
jordan is a lovely country, one of the friendliest places i have ever been. i loved amman city but there are so many other places there to visit and none more than 5 hours away from the capital.
if you go get your friend to take you to wadi rum, petra (now one of the 7 wonders of the world and truly incredible), jerash, the desert castles, karak, the dead sea is brilliant (cured my exzema), and if you are christian there are several important religious sites like bethany (where jesus was baptised).
its pretty cheep once your there (you have to barter for things like gold and gifts etc) but careful where you buy stuff, dead sea products for example are twice the price at the dead sea resort than if you buy them in amman.
