Mallorca is the biggest of all the Balearic Islands and it has to be said, in more ways than one, the best! If it is a beach holiday you require, Mallorca offers the best beaches and if it is the culture you hanker after, there is plenty and much more besides at large in the wonderful Mallorcan Old Town!
There are mountains here and fantastic scenery along the coast and inland equally. If you want to really get to know the island, you ought to hire a rental car in Palma and come and go as you please.
Over at the harbour is a stunning marina where brilliant fish dinners can be enjoyed. The port of Pollenca is a bit of a tourist magnet and particularly popular with our good old ex-pats. An old market town, this is a good spot to soak up the exuberant Mallorcan atmosphere, to watch the world go by and to enjoy a bargain or two at the local market.
