What East Asian countries are good for holidays?

I’m planning to go to Asia in a few years for a holiday and I was wondering what country would be good to visit and what there is to there. I was thinking maybe Japan, China or South Korea. Any suggestions?

    China is an affordable and good vacation place :) Or Hong Kong or Macau.

    If you’ve got the cash, Japan is also a nice country to visit.
