Hi, have same problem, although mine is slightly different as I am flying out to join cruise therefore restricted on baggage weight. Dinner suit a must + bow tie, 2 pairs shorts, swimming trunks, 2 evening dinner shirts,3 long sleeved shirts + ties, 3 pairs trousers, 4 short sleeved shirts, light weight jacket for shore breaks,
1pr black shoes, 1pr brown shoes, 1pr soft shoes.
7 prs underpants, 7 pairs socks = 7 prs white socks. Handkerchiefs/tissues. Camera, paper work, night clothes, washing gear. There are laundrettes on some ships, try to check it out on boat plans. Well that is my lot for 16 nights on board, glad I’m not a woman, as it is a lot of wife’s gear goes in my case. I go to Jamaica on 24th April. Good luck with your cruise.

Little black dress is always a primo idea. You can wear that thrice at least. An alternate colored dress, I’m thinking red. A bikini. Four sun dresses. Three pairs of hose in different colors. Three bras, one strapless.

Four pairs of shorts. Five t-shirts. Black evening shoes, sandals. Tennis shoes. Alternate evening shoes to pair with a sun dress when you feel it’s that kind of night.

One pair of undies for each day, plus four thongs in case of bad day or a day when you want to avoid panty lines.

Check list: 2 razors, skin gel, feminine products, travel vibrator, hair conditioner (if you’re particular like me), toothbrush, floss, toothpaste, aspirin, tylenol or Ibuprofen, heating pad, skin products you use regularly, nail clipper and file, granola or candy bars, backup nail polish, MP3 player or alternative, a small selection of books and magazines. Digital camera.

    Damn. Have fun!

I would take a couple of evening dresses, a pair of tailored black trousers that you can wear different tops with and a couple of Monsoon cocktail dresses too, have a lovely time.

I found this just before my own cruise last year and it’s worth its’ weight in gold…..!

It’s specifically for cruises, too, plus you can add on your own bits and extras.

Make sure you can mix and match so you don’t overdo the amount you take – take 2 tops to 1 pair of trousers etc. Your cruise agent should give you some help too – you should get more info as to what they class as formal/casual/smart.

(If this is P O you’ll get a little booklet about 8 weeks prior to departure, which is ideal for helping you decide!)

    Enjoy your cruise!
