Not usually , but might be possible. Most 6th form colleges are for years of age 16 to 18 but not sure whether that can be extended,

yes it is, you could get a job for a year and then go back to year 12 or something. it’d be best to talk to your careers adviser about it to get the best advice though

take it between high school and college/university…finishing high school is one way in which you demonstrate that you are an adult, and volunteer recruiters or employers want adults, not adolescents.

not really – my eldest grandson is doing his GCSEs this year then there will be the summer break and after that he is in 6th form no ifs and buts

you can it is possible, but i wouldnt advise it if you want to go to sixth form, as they have a age limmit, and you will be restricted from doing some courses that might take you over it. and you probably wont be able to do any courses again when you finnish.

It’s certainly possible, as you can leave school, take the gap year and then go to 6th form college. Whether it’s a good idea or not is debatable. Taking a gap year when you are at least 18 is a much better choice as you are legally allowed to do so much more – you could travel for example. I found that by going straight to 6th form I was still in school and study mode, and I got to stay with my friends, which was a real bonus. Whatever you decide, make the most of all your opportunities, both academic and social-emotional
