How long does it take for a cinema movie to be released on DVD?

Just wondering how long it will be before I can get it on official DVD in the UK?

    The length of time seems to depend on how much money it makes in the theaters. We have movies playing at the Dollar Theater that are already out on DVD!

    its about 3-5 months usually, if the film is a flop in the cinema it usually comes to dvd quicker,

    It depends on how much money and how popular it is. If it is in the #1 spot the movie will play for a while and star trek just came out.

    Syco is right 3-6 months but it does depend on Box Office success.

    There is currently a good train of thought to release some films on DVD at the same time as Cinema release in the bid to combat film piracy.

    Usually around 3-4 months I’d say, I found a link on HMV for you that will email you when the release date is known so you can pre-order it.
