A lot of people think of Americans as snobby and ignorant. But if you can be good and respective and change their heads about you. You would have a bigger chance.
As someone who’s ‘been there, done that’, a few words of caution. First is the money issue. Unless you have a relative working for a major airline, the cash outlay can be outrageous. Depends on where you go, South America is cheaper, Russia, Europe and the Philippines much, much more. Then there’s the fees with K-1 visas and other stuff if you DO find someone.
Second, a lot of the companies that offer to hook you up with the foreign bride of your dreams are shady and just after your money. If you go through a singles service, research the company as much as you can before you commit to anything. Planet Love has forums with real guys who have a lot of experience with this. Good luck.
Last but not least, there’s the foreign women themselves. You may not have a very positive view of American women, but the foreign ladies can be just as bad, if not worse. While many of them genuinely want a good husband, there are many who will see you as just a temporary meal ticket to a better home and life. Beware.
